What years did you attend CHS/UHHS ?
79 - 81
About you: where you currently live, what has life been like since your days at UHHS/CHS?, what kind of job do you have?
Would have graduated in 84 but went to Catering College in Banbury. since leaving there have traveled the world with my job as a chef.

Have 4 great kids, well the two teenage boys are probably revisiting all my teenage sins upon me LOL :) My two daughters, (5 yrs) and 9 months, keep me busy. And my wonderful wife makes sure that we all fall into line

Looking through this site brings back so many great memories, especially of the times and people who were housed at Glory Farm. I lived on Wellington Close.

The music I have placed on the music player, a lot of you may recognise, it's by Dixies Dreggs (aka Steve Morse Band) and was used as the opening theme to the Friday Rock Show on BBC Radio 1 that so many of us used to tune into.

My greatest achievement since leaving school is finally learning how to play guitar - no more air guitar for me, Highway to Hell will never sound the same again!!!!!!!!!

I am now firmly domiciled in New Zealand, a beautiful country. Though through my competitive nature I get to travel the world still with the New Zealand Culinary Team, competing in culinary competitions around the world. I guess once you've been an Air Force Brat it's hard to lose the desire for travel.
Have you kept in touch with any fellow Hadites over the years(who)?
Not really - sorta kept in touch with people until late 80's but then with traveling never kept up.

A Soldiers Christmas

T'WAS THE NIGHT BEFORE CHRISTMAS,
HE LIVED ALL ALONE,
IN A ONE BEDROOM HOUSE,
MADE OF PLASTER AND STONE.

I HAD COME DOWN THE CHIMNEY,
WITH PRESENTS TO GIVE,
AND TO SEE JUST WHO,
IN THIS HOME, DID LIVE.

I LOOKED ALL ABOUT,
A STRANGE SIGHT I DID SEE,
NO TINSEL, NO PRESENTS,
NOT EVEN A TREE.

NO STOCKING BY MANTLE,
JUST BOOTS FILLED WITH SAND,
ON THE WALL HUNG PICTURES,
OF FAR DISTANT LANDS.

WITH MEDALS AND BADGES,
AWARDS OF ALL KINDS,
A SOBER THOUGHT,
CAME THROUGH MY MIND.

FOR THIS HOUSE WAS D… Continue

Memories of UH

Living at Glory Farm, Wellington Close to be precise. The early morning bus ride to school. Looking forward to recess and lunch and home, there were classes I enjoyed, but then there were classes that could have been more inspirational or the teachers could have.

The freezing cold weather in winter - fog, fog and more fog - great for playing foxes and hounds with search lights at night.

Hanging out around Glory Farm, why was it that most of the time those of us living on Glory had to trek over… Continue

Recorded on the first stereo I bought for myself. It was an all in one Pioneer system with about 90 watts a channel. It was the display and sold for 290.00 It served us well. Glad you got to hear it now Gary!

So you moved into a new house. That is always exciting. I guess the job is good and your family is well. Still single here living on my own. Like it that way at least until I meet the right girl. Sometimes I think that may take forever!! So be it. The wrong one is worse!

The reunion was a blast. Drank way too much though. Hindsight is 20/20 you know! But hey I got to see a bunch of people I loved and still love. permanent smile the whole time. Would have been great to see you. Maybe next time! Got to run I'm at work right now getting paid to write this note. Take good care Sir!

Hi Gary, nice to see you too. Yeap, for years I corrected anyone that called me Melissa, Funny, now I go by both. How has life been treating you? Am I noticing a Chef''s shirt on you?

Yo Gary! Good to hear from you and to know all is very well! Brilliant! My God what a memory of the Glory Farm days. And the snowball fights with the blokes. They took a beating indeed. I'll write more when I get the hook up at my house 11/25. Seems the uverse ATT deal is popular. I will not give the cable company my business. They suck! It was #10 Wellington and then we moved to Anglo maybe 1981? Did you play baseball in England?
