About you: where you currently live, what has life been like since your days at UHHS/CHS?, what kind of job do you have?

I live in Northern Michigan, just outside the cherry capital of the world(Traverse City).
Just after graduation I became engaged to an International pilot(from Algeria), moved to Algeria in August of '86...although my parents thought for sure that I would return to them in a wooden box seeing that our relations with Libya at that time were very poor. Note: Libya is a neighboring state to Algeria. I worked at the American Consulate(American sub Embassy in Oran, second capital of Algeria) as an English instructor. This was one of the most amazing experiences I would have in my young adult years, having Thanksgiving dinner with dignitaries from all over the globe. I taught english for one year and returned to England for a short period of time, then to return to the USA in 1988.
Returning to our homeland brought much excitement and many challenges. My fiance' came the US for the first time and was quite surprised at what he would learn during his visit here in the US. He did eventually have to return to Algeria to do what he loved to do (which was fly the big jets).

After his departure I went to college in Florida and got a degree in Travel/Hospitality. I relocated to Florida and worked for Crown Cruise Line out of West Palm Beach. Sad to say during my stay in Florida I broke off the engagement. Not long after that I moved to Nashville, TN where I loved it! Very international market place for meeting people. I found that my social interest were of people from abroad, and naturally dating was of that too. After several times relocating back and forth between the Great sunshine state and TN, I decided to move back home(Traverse City, Michigan) near my family.

I have lived in Traverse City since 1989. I married a wonderful man who is a good father to the best of his abilities. We married in 1999 and have two girls Brooke Whitney(18), and Alysse Nicole(8). I am a semi retired event planner and enjoy people from all walks of life.


I work for AAA of Michigan(Auto Club Group) love what I do there, I am a member representative .

I graduated from CHS in 1986 in a small class of just over ninety people(may of been small in number but huge in personality.

Have you kept in touch with any fellow Hadites over the years(who)?

Many....I love research(as far as finding lost hadites and bringing them back home). I have compiled over the years a large database for CHS Hadites(1980-1997)
