I was very close to Steve Howell before I left for the states. We had many good times hanging out with a few other people in our quest to never stop partying the good old English way by drinking as many pints as we could before the Pubs closed at 11PM then catching the bus back to Brackley from Oxford. Steve was an amazingly funny person and unfortunately made a decision that changed the course of his, his frineds, and his family's history. He is still in my thoughts and will never be forgotten! If anyone has information about his Mum's whereabouts I would be so happy to hear. Thanks.

Richard, I'm with you - Steve Howell was a great friend and he had such a fun loving spirit! It was really so sad to hear about him, he's truly missed. I do remember his mom and she was always good to his friends. Steve B.

I saw your message and thought I would be able to help. Steve's parents moved here to San Antonio and a few years ago adopted a young boy. Sarah passed away about a year after adopting. I know Mike Howell still lives in San Antonio.

Just found out about an 89er who passed in 2003, Randy Shohara .

Steve, you are exactly right! Both of his parents used to let all of us crash over there every weekend if we wanted to! Her and her Lhasa Apsos. We used to party our asses off over there (after his parents went to bed)! I always remember Steve H. breaking out the Black Sabbath VHS Cassette out and watch Bill Ward go nuts on this one particular drum solo. Anything they could do to help us out she did it. Whether it be a meal or a ride she was there for us! It was really nice once I moved out to Brackley and lived a few blocks from him.

Steve was great. I remember getting the call from England after I'd moved to Vegas telling me that he was gone. I must have been in shock for some time after that, then, just numb.

I know David Kunz is no longer with us as well. I believe he was Class of '88 or '89. I can't remember if he was one or two years behind me.

Eric Burkhead died many years ago in a car wreck, I can't remember if he was class of 89' or 88' but I remember him. My Mom was very good friends with his Mom too. I think she said he was on a road trip with friends and was the only one thrown from the car. So so sad, he was a really nice guy.

I'm so sad and so shocked to hear about Chris (Zip) Williams and Todd Zick. My thoughts and prayers go out to their families. I remember them both well and even posted acouple of pictures of them on my page. Another Hadite friend that I would like added to this page was one of my best friends....Micky Miller, class of 84, who was killed in an auto accident in 89. The last time I seen here, she was very happy and excited, her husband who was in the AF just got orders for Germany and she was the mother of 3 beautiful children (whom all survived her).
